South Hadley, MA – Local health care providers are so busy treating record-breaking numbers of patients affected by the coronavirus that they barely have time to eat. (Skip directly to how to help)
Adam Quenneville of Adam Quenneville Roofing & Siding, Inc. wants to do something to help so he has arranged a $100 Front Line Pizza Pack drive so that those working on the front lines at Baystate Health, Cooley Dickinson Hospital and Mercy Medical Center can enjoy a meal delivered to their break rooms. All three hospitals have agreed to participate.
“We saw the need and we wanted to do something to help, just like we did for the N95 mask drive,” says Quenneville. “We are asking businesses, individuals, families and groups to order $100 FRONT LINE PIZZA PACKS from participating pizza restaurants.” Each $100 FRONT LINE PIZZA PACK will include pizza, grinders and beverages to feed a hospital break room. All three hospitals require individually boxed personal size pizzas, individually wrapped grinders and bottled beverages so hospital workers don’t have to share during the pandemic. Participating restaurants will
decide what kind of pizza and grinders to include in the pack.
“You can be generous and donate a $100 FRONT LINE PIZZA PACK from your company or from yourself,” Quenneville added. “Or you can take up a collection with your family, friends and coworkers to raise $100.” Quenneville will donate $100 FRONT LINE PIZZA PACKS each week to each of the three hospitals for three weeks.
Anyone who wants to donate a $100 FRONT LINE PIZZA PACK to Baystate, Cooley or Mercy has to make two calls. First, they must call the hospital contact person at one of the three participating hospitals to arrange delivery time and delivery instructions. Then they must call one of the participating pizza restaurants to place the order and pay for the “$100 FRONT LINE HOSPITAL PACK”. They will have to give the pizza restaurant the delivery time and instructions. The pizza restaurant will take it from there and choose what goes into the order.
* Food must be prepared and delivered by participating restaurants only. Personal size pizzas, wrapped grinders & individual beverages only. Restaurants must follow strict safe food handling guidelines. $100 orders will feed 12 or more people in hospital break rooms.
